Jon Kessler

Jon Kessler (b. 1957) is best known for his kinetic sculptures that leave the mechanics exposed for the viewer. His work often combines centuries-old analog mechanisms with digital technology to explore the runoff of consumerist, “post-utopian” societies. Kessler has been a part of the following exhibitions Spaced Out: Migration to the Interior, Red Bull Studios, New York, NY (2014); The Web, Swiss Institute, New York, NY (2013); Overhead/Underfoot: The Topographical Perspective in Photography, Whitney Museum of Art, New York, NY (2005).
