The city’s most vital creatives discuss the inimitable spirit of Detroit’s creative ecosystem. Featuring Cornelius Harris, Crystal Mioner, Waajeed, and Sophiyah, moderated by Ash Lauryn.
With so much of the country’s music industry historically located in NYC and Los Angeles, Detroit musicians have always had the challenge and freedom to find their own path. The need to be resourceful and work outside the existing structure, Detroit’s music ecosystem is largely defined by the drive to “do it yourself.” Moderated by Ash Lauryn and featuring panelists Cornelius Harris, Crystal Mioner, Waajeed, and Sophiyah, this roundtable contextualizes Detroit’s DIY ethos of past, present, and future in a panel discussion.
Tuned in from 3-5PM EST on December 4th.
The panel will be held virtually at www.redbullarts.com/cgps – as part of the public programming offerings of the Red Bull Arts digital exhibition Omar S: Conant Gardens’ Party Store.
